- 5 tablespoons of organic licorice root (roasted)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 3 tablespoons of organic ginger root
- 6 cups spring water
First prepare honey-roasted licorice root. Place licorice root on a roasting pan and coat with honey. Roast for 5 minutes, turn and roast for 3 more minutes. Transfer to a plate and cool. When the licorice root is cool enough to handle, place them along with the ginger root, into 6 cups water in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and serve. Serves 4.
